FRANCE: AFRICAN MAYORS AT THE MAYORS AND LOCAL AUTHORITIES FAIR 2024 EDITION THANKS TO THE CICP!
A business dinner offered by the International Chamber for Advice and Promotion for the completion of the work of this 2024 edition, gave the opportunity to the 1st magistrate of Owendo, General of Division Arnaud Sandri NOMBO. to present to the audience, the potential of the port city that he manages.
As a prelude to his stay in Lisbon, Portugal, to attend the AIVP World Conference on Cities and Ports scheduled for November 26 to 30, the Special Delegate in charge of the management of the municipality of Owendo is currently in Paris, where he took part from November 19 to 21, in the Mayors and Local Authorities Fair.
Organized in parallel with the congress of the Association of Mayors of France (AMF), the event open to the world recorded the presence of Gabon and several other African countries. A meeting of collective construction intended for the territories, which allowed the participants to promote the exchange of experiences and collaborations between the actors of local action, on cross-cutting subjects including the environment, school, culture, the fight against narcotics, security, digital, construction, mobility...
Thousands of mayors and elected officials, members of the French government, territorial decision-makers, political leaders and private actors, gathered to debate on conference stages with concrete examples, to improve the framework and the quality of life of the inhabitants, with as a bonus, important sectoral working meetings. "I met inspiring decision-makers during this event and I leave with enriching feedback" indicated Major General Arnaud Sandri NOMBO. On the sidelines of this event, the municipal authority went to the diplomatic representation of the Gabonese Republic in the French Republic, for a courtesy visit which also allowed it to discuss with Her Excellency Marie-Édith TASSYLA-YE-DOUMBENENY, on the key principles necessary for successful twinning between the commune of Owendo and French cities.
